MN Film History

The state of Minnesota has a fascinating history in film that is quite well documented but often goes unnoticed or becomes forgotten by many. The mission of this section is to spark interest in Minnesota as a state of cinema by offering an introduction to this history through live interviews with major figures who played a role in shaping this history as well as an introduction to the literature on Minnesotan film.

The following book, just published in December 2006, serves as an appropriate introduction to the topic.

Since the earliest days of motion pictures, actors and actresses with roots in Minnesota have been appearing on the Silver Screen.
